Warmth, Welcome, and Houston’s Best Breakfast Food at The Breakfast Klub

The list of awards for this 15-year-old coffee shop that also happens to serve great breakfast and lunches is extensive. Nationally, The Breakfast Klub in Houston has been recognized as one of the “best breakfast restaurants in the nation” by Good Morning America, USA Today, Esquire and Forbes. It’s also gained recognition locally by the Houston Press 2011 Readers Choice for best breakfast, My Table Culinary Award winner for favorite breakfast in 2011 and winner of the 2011 Best of Citysearch in the breakfast category.
A native of Houston, owner Marcus Davis worked with his brothers in his father’s catering business, honing his skills. He saw a void for a unique breakfast eatery in the city and opened The Breakfast Klub in 2001. Turning iconic food from the east and west coast into the center of his menu was a hit in this city of migrants from all over, where no restaurant was yet serving those soulful foods. Choosing Katfish & Grits and Wings & Waffles as signature menu items, Davis knew he could do these dishes justice.
